Digg.com is a social network where the members digg each other stories and submit content in shape of news, images and videos. There is a need for beginners to understand how digg work and to get the maximum benefits one should know the structure.
As earlier i wrote digg is a social network, when you join digg means you are joining the biggest community on the web where you will share content. Becoming member on Digg
Just login to digg.com and you see on top Join Digg button. You have two options to join either by registering through your eamil or if you are a member of facebook, you can login through facebook id too.

On those buttons one can press and do vote for any story or content. You can see the time of the story submitted and comments number. You can also favourite the story and share too. There is an option of viewing the top stories for last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days and 365 days.
Now we come to right side bar. You can subscribe via email having option of getting best content weekly or daily. You can also view the best posts and recommended posts.
Now we talk about the major area which is your profile, on the top of screen you see a link profile beside your icon image, click it and you will be in your profile area. There are again different options like friend’s activity, history and setting etc. You can do setting of your choice so people know about you and your interests.

Your diggs
Your activity is directly related to your diggs. How many diggs you did and how many of them become popular which will increase your value in digg. Try to do as many digg as you can but still sensibly. Do not only digg rather if you like some stuff write comment too. Keep in mind, digg is watching you and you should not do any unethical activity on digg.
Friends
There are hundred and thousand of members on digg. You select mind like people and make them friend. More popular friends you have, more value you will gain. Do make friends slowly, it is recommended to have 20 friends a day till you get about 200 friends.
Fans
People who makes you friend will appear fans until you add them as friend and same goes to your friends who have not added you yet but you already added them will appear as fans in their profile.
Mutual Friends
Mutual friends are those who recommend each other as friends.
Submission
Definitely you are digging other people articles and you also want your web content should also appear in digg.com. Try not to submit a lot of stuff from your own website, it will be consider as spamming but still you can submit moderately on selected posts of your blog.
